Who is behind this site

The site is published by Echo Investment Journal Co., Ltd., a Taipei-based publisher of free editorial material about artificial intelligence in investment. The entity block at the top of this page — legal name, address, telephone, email, business number and representative — identifies the party responsible for any personal data you send here. For privacy questions, the same channels apply: write to the desk by email or post.

What this site collects

The journal’s only data channel is the inquiry form on the contact page. If you use it, the data sent consists of exactly what you typed:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • a phone number, only if you choose to provide one;
  • the topic you selected;
  • the text of your message.

Browsing the site requires no login and creates no profile. There are no accounts, no mailing lists, no newsletter sign-ups and no marketplace features, because the journal sells nothing.

Purposes, and the Taiwan PDPA frame

This site is published in Taiwan, so personal-information handling follows Taiwan’s Personal Information Protection Act (PDPA, 個人資料保護法). Under that law the journal collects the items listed above only for a specific purpose: understanding and answering your inquiry. Your data is submitted on the basis of your own explicit act of sending the form; optional fields are genuinely optional, and leaving them empty is a valid choice.

No data is used for marketing, profiling, scoring or resale, and no consent is requested for anything beyond the reply you ask for. If a future feature would change this, the policy will say so on this page before it goes live.

Just visiting

Reading pages writes nothing to the site. The site itself sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts of any kind — fonts and scripts are served from this domain, not a vendor’s. The only item the site stores in your browser is your own choice about the cookie notice, kept in localStorage under the key eij-consent-v1, described in the cookie notice.

The journal’s hosting provider may keep standard technical access logs — request time, page URL, browser type, IP address — as part of operating and securing the server. That is ordinary infrastructure practice, not journal research, and this site is deliberately configured with no measurement code that would build a dossier out of it.

Where your inquiry goes, and how long it stays

The form posts its JSON payload to a handler on this same domain (https://echo-console.digital/api/inquiry). It is not routed through a third-party form vendor, a chat platform or a social network. The message is delivered to the editorial desk and used to respond to you, nothing else.

Inquiry contents are retained while the exchange is active and for up to 24 months after the last reply, then deleted. Server access logs created by the hosting infrastructure are rotated on the provider’s standard schedule, typically within a few weeks. If the journal later uses a different retention period, a revision note on this page will say so before the change applies.

Cross-border note

The journal does not sell, share or transfer inquiry data to third parties. Depending on the hosting arrangement in use at a given time, the servers that operate this domain may physically stand outside Taiwan, which means a message you send could be processed abroad by the infrastructure provider. If that matters to you, restrict your message to what belongs in a working letter — or write to the desk by post.

Your rights as a data subject

If you have written to the journal, you can ask to see, correct or have deleted everything relating to your inquiry — the content itself and any reply, to whatever extent it remains stored. Requests go to info@echo-console.digital with “Privacy request” in the subject, or by post to the desk address at the top of this page. A reply comes back from the editor who handled it — no autoresponder, no mailbox robot.

Nothing on this page limits rights you hold under the Personal Information Protection Act or any other law that applies to you in Taiwan, including the right to raise a concern with the competent authority for this kind of activity. Complaints do not cost you anything with the desk — the journal answers them as a matter of editorial routine, not legal defence.

Children

The site is written for adults who read about systematic investing and language technology. It is not directed at children, and the desk does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If such data arrives by mistake, it is deleted as soon as the desk notices — and a note to the email above will trigger exactly that.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the revised text appears on this page with the date of the change; older versions are not silently substituted for new obligations. Questions about any version of it are welcome through the same channels as inquiries.

How to reach the desk about privacy

Use email for speed, post for formality, the telephone line for both — the entity block at the top of this page carries every channel. The journal treats a privacy question as an inquiry like any other, which means it gets read, checked and answered.
