What this site is

Echo Investment Journal is a free editorial publication about a specific subject: the use of artificial intelligence in investment, centred on the sentiment analysis of financial news. Articles explain methods, evidence and failure modes — word lists, transformer models, index construction, honest testing — in language a working reader can act on intellectually. The journal is based at Xinyi District, Taipei City, and published by the entity named in the footer of this page.

What this site is not, precisely

The journal offers nothing for sale: no paid services, no subscriptions, no bookings, no deposits, no paid tiers, no merchandising. It executes no trades, holds no client money, runs no funds and gives no personalised investment advice — it does not tell you what to buy, what to sell, or whether to do either. Articles are editorial explanations, not offers, solicitations or calls to action in a market.

If anyone offers to sell you any of the above under this site’s name, that offer does not come from the journal; the desk would like to hear about it as an inquiry.

Reading, quoting and copyright

The text of this site belongs to Echo Investment Journal Co., Ltd. Quoting a short passage with an attribution and a link is welcome and needs no permission — this is an editorial project, and being argued with is part of the job. Republishing whole articles, or scraping the site into another publication, does require written permission from the email in the footer.

Product names for models, word lists and datasets that appear in articles — FinBERT, VADER, Loughran–McDonald and similar — are the property of their respective owners and are referenced descriptively, never as endorsements, partnerships or affiliations of any kind.

Accuracy, disagreement and corrections

Every claim built on a machine-read mood clears an editorial gate before publication: origin of the source, identity of the model, a fair baseline, headline-versus-body separation, and a hand-check of known failure modes. The gate keeps errors out; it does not abolish uncertainty, so articles also label what is exploratory.

If you believe something here is wrong, say so through the contact desk. Challenges are treated as contributions; a correction is published where the original claim appeared when it holds up, and the exchange stays visible to other readers.

No reliance, no warranties

The journal takes care with what it publishes but offers the content as is, without warranty of completeness, currency or fitness for any particular trading decision. Nothing on this site is a recommendation, a signal, a forecast or an inducement to trade or invest. Reading here creates no advisory relationship of any kind.

To the extent the law allows, the journal is not liable for losses that arise from decisions made on the strength of editorial content. Where mandatory consumer law — including Taiwan’s Consumer Protection Act — grants you rights, nothing in these terms narrows them.

Availability

The site may be taken offline for maintenance, redesign or archival pauses. The desk makes no paid uptime promises because it sells nothing — the best signal that a “premium SLA” on a free journal’s page would be a lie is that this one is absent.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute over the site’s content are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), with the courts of Taipei City as the forum of first instance, unless mandatory law gives you a different forum in your own jurisdiction.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version replaces this one on this page with a revised date. Continued reading after a change is fine; the journal has no user accounts to force anyone through a click-wrap ritual, so this paragraph is the whole ritual.
